| 1) MRI of the spinal cord shows lesions extending over three or more vertebral segments 2) MRI of the brain does not meet the diagnostic criteria for multiple sclerosis 3) NMO-IgG serum positive |

| All mandatory criteria plus at least two supporting criteria are required |
