Type General Characteristics Subtype
Type A Fracture involves only one column of the acetabulum A1: Posterior wall fracture
A2: Posterior column fracture
A3: Anterior wall and anterior column fracture
Type B Fracture involves both columns, with the acetabular roof remaining connected to the intact ilium B1: Transverse fracture and transverse with posterior wall fracture
B2: T-shaped fracture
B3: Anterior wall or anterior column fracture with posterior column semi-transverse fracture
Type C Fracture involves both columns, with the acetabular roof disconnected from the intact ilium C1: Anterior column fracture line extending to the iliac spine
C2: Anterior column fracture line extending to the anterior edge of the ilium
C3: Fracture line involving the sacroiliac joint
