Explanation
Based on different combinations of anterior and posterior columns and walls of the acetabulum, Letournel and Judet classified acetabular fractures into two major categories and ten types.
Letournel and Judet first published the acetabular fracture classification system in 1961 and made some modifications in 1965. This classification system mainly distinguishes based on anatomical changes.
