Regan Classification of Coronoid Process Fractures of the Elbow

Type I Fracture Fracture of the tip of the coronoid process, with the bone fragment often free in the joint cavity or attached to the joint capsule wall.
Type II Fracture 50% fracture of the coronoid process, with elbow joint instability.
Type III Fracture Fracture at the base of the coronoid process, often accompanied by posterior elbow dislocation if displaced.
