Tossi Classification of Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation

Type I: Contusion and partial tear of the acromioclavicular ligament, with slight displacement of the lateral end of the clavicle;
Type II: Tear of the acromioclavicular ligament and strain of the coracoclavicular ligament, with displacement of the lateral end of the clavicle;
Type III: Complete tear of the acromioclavicular and coracoclavicular ligaments, with complete displacement of the lateral end of the clavicle.
