Type A: Fresh stable fractures Type A1: Fracture of the scaphoid tubercle
Type A2: Non-displaced transverse avulsion fracture of the middle or distal scaphoid
Type B: Fresh unstable fractures Type B1: Oblique fracture of the scaphoid
Type B2: Displaced or split fractures
Type B3: Fracture of the proximal 1/3 of the scaphoid
Type B4: Fracture with dislocation around the lunate via the scaphoid
