Rheumatoid Arthritis Joint Function Status Classification Standards

Stage Clinical Manifestations
Grade I Joint function is intact, no obstacles to general activities.
Grade II One or more joints have limited activity or discomfort, but can engage in normal activities.
Grade III Functional activities are significantly limited, but can perform some daily activities or live semi-independently.
Grade IV Most or complete loss of mobility, patients are bedridden or rely on a wheelchair, unable to live independently.
