Cervical score is positively correlated with follicular development and blood estrogen levels. When the score reaches 10-12 points, ovulation is imminent. 0-3 points indicate insufficient function; 4-7 points indicate poor function; 8-10 points indicate good function; 10-12 points indicate excellent function.
Cervical mucus can be used as a semi-quantitative indicator to indirectly assess estrogen levels in the body.
