Lung Compliance = VT/(Pplat-PEEP)

Explanation

Normal range of results: 50～100 ml/cmH2O

Lung compliance is sensitive for the early diagnosis of small airway diseases. Reduced lung compliance is common in pneumonia, pulmonary edema, atelectasis, pneumothorax, and increased intra-abdominal pressure.
