Description
Children with infectious laryngitis have an acute onset and severe symptoms. Crying and agitation often exacerbate stridor and airway obstruction. If the obstruction is not promptly treated, it can lead to asphyxiation and death due to inspiratory difficulty. Laryngeal obstruction can be classified into four grades.
