Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-8)

This questionnaire was simplified by Professor Wang Jian from the Neurology Department of Huashan Hospital, Shanghai, based on the Parkinson's Disease Quality of Life Scale (PDQ-39), reflecting the quality of life of Parkinson's patients over the past month.


1. Is it difficult to walk around outside?
2. Is it difficult to dress yourself?
3. Do you feel depressed?
4. Do you feel embarrassed in public because of Parkinson's disease?
5. Do you have problems managing interpersonal relationships with friends?
6. Do you have trouble concentrating while watching TV or reading the newspaper?
7. Do you feel unable to communicate with others?
8. Do you experience muscle cramps or pain due to cramps?
PDQ-8 Score:

Result Interpretation

The PDQ-8 is a simplified version of the PDQ-39, suitable for assessing the quality of life of Parkinson's disease patients. A higher score indicates worse quality of life for the patient.
